Golfers Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis)

What is Golfers Elbow?

Golfer's elbow is the mirror image of tennis elbow, involving inflammation and strain of the tendons on the inside of the joint that control wrist and finger flexion.

Clinical Symptoms

This condition causes pain, aching, and tenderness along the inner side of the elbow. Symptoms may intensify when flexing the wrist, making a fist, or performing pulling and twisting motions.

Treatment

We frequently use ultrasound-guided hyaluronic acid injections to lubricate and support healing in the degenerated tendon, or a steroid injection when rapid reduction of acute pain and severe local inflammation is needed to start rehabilitation.

Management focuses on reducing tendon inflammation through precise therapeutic joint or soft tissue injections, supported by targeted rehabilitative exercises and workload modification.
