Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis)

What is Tennis Elbow?

Tennis elbow is a painful condition caused by overuse and strain of the tendons attached to the outside of the elbow. Despite its name, it frequently affects non-tennis players through repetitive arm, wrist, or hand movements.

Clinical Symptoms

Patients typically experience pain and tenderness on the outer aspect of the elbow. This discomfort often worsens when gripping objects, lifting items, or extending the wrist.

Treatment

At Bristol Joint Injections, treatment options include targeted corticosteroid or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections to relieve local inflammation and promote healing, alongside rest, bracing, and structured physiotherapy.
